Plastic Free Thanet Team

Jessica Rose has been living as plastic free as possible with her husband Dominic for more than five years. As a director at Co-relate and Marine Studios in Margate, she wanted to do something tangible in her local community here in Thanet. She was previously Environment campaign manager at national charity Business in the Community, she is also a founding member of Poets for the Planet. You can find her doing beach cleans, running or performing poetry, all to push for action on the climate crisis.

Chloe is a graduate from the University of Kent with an undergraduate degree in Wildlife Conservation, where she learnt all about the environment, wildlife and ecology. Growing up in Thanet, she has gained a large amount of respect for the local area and the sea.

Chloe is Co-relate’s Creative Catalyst Intern, where she is working on Plastic Free Thanet and Co-relate marketing and communications. She previously worked as an intern at online community interest company Wild Ideas, where she supported their social media and surveyed the local environment and wildlife.

Becky is one of the four Green Councillors and so pleased to represent the ward of Central Harbour in Ramsgate. She moved to Thanet in 2010 after giving up teaching and has always had a keed interest in all things rubbish. She helped established a really positive group and Litter Forum in Ramagate that has made a big difference with businesses beginning to tackle the issue of 'reduce, reuse and refuse' to help tackle our increasing plastics issue.

In addition, she has been involved with a number of plastic awareness projects including a Rubbish Carnival Float, which was literally made almost entirely of collected rubbish which was mainly plastic. It therefore seemed a natural progression to become the Plastic Free Community Lead for Ramsgate in the hope we can 'spread the word' and reduced plastic use.
