Co-relate is now a social enterprise
Co-relate is now a social enterprise
After more than four years working with organisations in Margate and London to listen to, involve and empower communities, Co-relate has officially become a Community Interest Company (CIC) regulated by the CIC Regulator.
Now with the full name Co-relate Communication CIC, we will continue to work for the benefit of the creative and cultural community here in Thanet, stepping up our efforts to work in partnership to increase creative opportunities for young people and community groups.
We have also welcomed Tanya Royer as co-director. Tanya brings a wealth of editorial, mentoring and health sector experience to Co-relate and joins Jessica Rose in leading the social enterprise and our editorial service.
Our first project as a Community Interest Company is supporting the Margate Bookie Young Producers to stage a series of literary events for young people, extending Margate Bookie's reach to new audiences and showcasing young talent while building skills and experience in literary events production for young people at the start of their careers.
Co-relate managing director Jessica Rose says:
"It was always my ambition for Co-relate to become a social enterprise and finding a co-director in Tanya has made this possible. As we come out of the worst of the COVID-19 pandemic and bring communities together in person again, I hope Co-relate can play a role linking creative opportunities with the audiences and practioners who need them most. I'm grateful to our partners at Margate Bookie for their support and excited about what the young producers can bring and gain as part of this project."
In all our work, we want to reach out to diverse audiences through co-creation and user involvement and use our communication skills to support the arts, share learning across the health and social care sector and act on the climate emergency.
