Margate Bookshop Writers' Room

A living room and workspace for readers, writers and creatives, The Margate Bookshop Writers' Room is a welcoming space where you're encouraged to make yourself at home. Designed to support local and visiting writers, the space offers very affordable desk space, comfy reading chairs, printing and phone charging.

It's also home to local poetry critique group, Margate Stanza and welcomes local book groups, book talks and readings.

The Margate Bookshop and Co-relate want the bookshop to be a place for the reading and writing community to come together - whether that's to read and write, for intimate events, to develop their skills or to access writing resources. They launched The Margate Bookshop Writer's Room in early August 2019 and have since hosted book launches, poetry nights and several resident published writers.

We're open Tuesdays to Sundays during bookshop hours (10am-5pm).
